About the program
EV charging in apartments and commuter hubs
Combined Energy Technologies (CET) is delivering the EV Charging in Apartments and Commuter Hubs project with support from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) under the Driving the Nation Program.
As part of the project, CET is undertaking a structured Site Assessment Program across apartment buildings and commuter car parks to better understand barriers, costs and technology development opportunities for EV charging infrastructure.
Program aims

- Identify barriers to EV charging deployment
- Assess available electrical capacity and potential infrastructure constraints
- Evaluate different EV charging deployment architectures and expansion pathways
- Identify opportunities to reduce deployment and upgrade costs
- Support future EV charging planning and staged deployment strategies
- Generate industry learnings to support broader EV charging adoption across Australia
What is included

CET inCharge Apartment Building Monitoring
- Installation of CET monitoring systems at key building electrical locations
- Access to CET's monitoring web portal for visualisation of building energy data
EV Charging Site Assessment Report
An electrician-led assessment of the building's EV charging readiness informed by site inspections and CET building energy monitoring data. The report supports building decision making and future EV charging planning, including staged deployment and expansion pathways.
